Relaunching of 4'Oclock Habit and Enhanced 4S Strategy Against Dengue

The Philippines has been declared National Dengue Epidemic on August 6, 2019 on the wake of the 146,062 cases tallied nationwide.
The 4 o'clock Habit has been the campaign of the agency for years to engage the public and raise awareness to the communities on measures in preventing mosquitos from breeding in areas that contains water.
As time went by, cases has increased and the lead agency for health has been alarmed of the threats of this disease. At the same time of the declaration, DOH-CHD Caraga took part in the simultaneous Relaunching of 4'Oclock Habit and Enhanced 4S Strategy at Libertad Covered Court, Butuan City to reorient stakeholders of the basic preventive measures against Dengue which is the 4S campaign.
The activity was attended by DOH Regional Director Jose R. Llacuna, Jr., Assistant Regional Director Gerna Manatad, PNP, DEP.ED, HRH-Libertad,CHO, Brgy. Officials, DOH Personnel, BHWs and other stakeholders.
Despite the national outbreak declaration, Caraga Region was not included in the areas identified to have reached the epidemic threshold on Dengue.
