TB-HIV Symposium among Religious Leaders in Caraga

Caraga joins the celebration of World TB Day which is held every year on the 24th day of March. A TB-HIV Symposium is conducted and attended by Religious Leaders in Caraga with the theme "Sama-samang Hanapin, Gamutin at Pagalingin LAHAT on March 21, 2016 at Almont Inland Resort, Butuan City. On this day, we commemorate Dr. Robert Koch's discovery of TB bacillus in 1882 that cause this tuberculosis that through his researched it paves a way towards diagnosing and curing this disease.
World TB Day is an opportunity for every people everywhere to join this fight. It aims to build a public awareness for tuberculosis, a disease that remains a destructive epidemic in the world despite of being curable.
So let's unite and raise awareness by helping to educate others about TB and by urging our governnent to take action. Let's END TB now!
MOA Signing on Emergency Room Hospital Policies in Handling Patients Referred

With the presence of Gov. Ma. Angelica Rosedell Amante-Matba, representing SP on Health-ADN Hon. Rey Jamboy, Butuan City Mayor Hon. Ferdinand Amante, Jr., SP on Health- Butuan City Hon. Virgilio Nery, Dr. Elizabeth Campado, PHO ADN, Dr. Josephine Chua, Medical Director of BMC and Dr. Joyce Hidalgo, CHO-Butuan City & the staff of BMC, ADNPH and DOH ROXIII highlighted the MOA Signing on Emergency Room Hospital Policies in Handling Patients Referred Between Butuan Medical Center & Agusan del Norte Provincial Hospital, done at Goat 2 Geder Hotel & Restuarant.
Effective referral system was strongly emphasized by RD Jose Llacuna, Jr. in response to the crafted MOA to avoid congestion of patients, eradicate or lessen maternal mortality rate and improve health services for the constituents of ADN and Butuan City.

Declaration of Rabies Free Province - Province of Dinagat Islands

This year's celebration of the National Rabies Awareness Month is highlighted with the local declaration of the entire Province of Dinagat Islands as Rabies-Free Zone. The said distinction was conferred by the Dept of Health and Department of Agriculture to the PLGU Pio Dinagat Islands and its constituent municipalities. DOH Undersecretary Vicente Belizario graced the occasion as the keynote speaker.
Salamat sa support DOH, DA, MLGU's, Barangay Officials and all rabies stakeholders. Salamat sa tiwala Gov Glenda Ecleo, VG Benglen Ecleo.
One of our missions is accomplished- and now we shall strive and work harder to maintain and sustain Dinagat Islands as Rabies-Free Zone.
